C-AIR was founded by David Spildooren and Stéphanie Annecour, two aviation enthusiasts united by a love of ballooning. David takes care of the flights; Stéphanie handles planning, communications and the website. Together they form the heart of an enthusiastic and professional team.

David Spildooren – Pilot & Founder

David Spildooren is no ordinary pilot. He is a 5-time Belgian Hot Air Balloon Champion (2018, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2025) and is currently ranked among the top 10 balloon pilots in the world.

His passion for ballooning started at the age of 16. Since then he has logged more than 2,000 flying hours as a commercial balloon pilot. He also flies as a commercial airline pilot for Brussels Airlines, bringing an exceptional level of safety awareness and professionalism to every balloon flight.

Record holder:
In 2022, David broke two Belgian national records in separate flights:

• Belgian distance record: 1,120 km in a single flight
• Belgian endurance record: 14 hours of uninterrupted flight

These achievements were awarded Best Performance in Belgian Air Sport 2023 by the national aeronautical federation. David also competes internationally and participates each year in the prestigious Château d’Oex balloon festival in Switzerland.
